Concept development brief: the following construction, simulation and performance goals are proposed—not records of completed Optitex testing or certified garment performance.
MONOCHROME / SUPPORT / MOVEMENT
Monochrome Sports Bra — Design Collection

01 / DESIGN
Mapped Support
Curved cup seams, broad straps and a stable underband define the proposed compression zones. Tune support through panel geometry and measured fabric recovery.

02 / DESIGN
Racerback Movement
An open racerback and mapped mesh panels balance shoulder clearance with breathability. Review overhead reach, rotation and strap pressure before sampling.

03 / DESIGN
Coordinated Training Shorts
A contoured high waistband and matching curved panel lines extend the monochrome language into the set. Assess seated comfort, leg clearance and waistband stability.

04 / DESIGN
2D Pattern System
Front and back design flats organize cup panels, mesh boundaries, underband, lining and shorts seams for an Optitex PDS pattern-development brief.

01 / DEVELOPMENT
Pattern Engineering
Precision support mapping in Optitex PDS. Develop curved cup panels, a broad underband, racerback straps and coordinated high-waist shorts with clearly defined stretch directions.
02 / DEVELOPMENT
3D Simulation in Optitex
Plan extensive 3D avatar testing for different impact levels; digital drape alone does not establish impact-support ratings. Compare standing, overhead reach, rotation and squat poses, reviewing mesh deformation and seam alignment.
03 / DEVELOPMENT
Materials & Physics
High-recovery compression + soft-touch lining.
04 / DEVELOPMENT
Fit Validation
Review coverage, support-zone tension and comfort across avatar sizes; confirm impact support through real-person wear testing.
05 / DEVELOPMENT
Outcome
Target outcome: ready for performance training after physical support and comfort validation.
01 / ENGINEERING NOTES
Support Engineering · Bra Construction
- Map curved support panels, lining, underband and broad racerback straps as separate PDS pattern pieces.
- Document grain, stretch direction, notches, elastic lengths and seam allowances for each size.
- Assess bonded or low-profile sewn seams for bulk, skin contact and laundering durability before choosing construction.
02 / ENGINEERING NOTES
Materials & Physics · Recovery and Breathability
- Measure stretch, recovery and bending behavior of compression knit, soft-touch lining and proposed mesh zones before assigning simulation values.
- Compare neckline, armhole and underband stability under movement; review pressure concentrations with tension maps.
- Test moisture handling, mesh durability, abrasion and wash recovery on physical material samples.
03 / ENGINEERING NOTES
Fit & Movement · Wear-Test Plan
- Review cup coverage, strap travel and underband anchoring across the intended size range.
- Test comfort, bounce control and chafing with real wearers at the intended activity levels; establish support ratings only through appropriate physical testing.
- Review shorts waistband roll, squat coverage and inner-leg seam friction alongside the bra.
04 / ENGINEERING NOTES
Technical Design Pack · Complete Set
- Prepare front/back flats, panel maps, graded bra and shorts patterns, measurements and tolerances.
- Specify compression knit, lining, mesh, elastic and thread in the bill of materials; record seam and care requirements.
- Use OPTINEDCloud for review handoff and version tracking, with physical-sample checkpoints before production approval.
